The Practice was founded in 1994 as Pentangle Consulting Engineers Limited. It enjoys a great deal of loyalty from Clients who know us from longstanding working relationships together with newer Clients who have been more recently introduced to the Practice. Our Client loyalty is based on proven ability of the Practice to meet Clients’ demands.

Word of mouth
The number of Clients advised by the Practice continues to grow, largely by recommendation and word of mouth. Much of the work of the Practice, (currently over 50%) continues to come from appointments born out of previous associations.

The Primary Technical Members of the Practice are William Howard, Gordon Smith, John Smith, Colin Elliott, Alan Barrett and Stuart chapman.

All are dedicated to providing a highly professional and personal service to all of their Clients. A rigid policy of supervising projects at high level is maintained, as it is recognised that this is invariably the difference between the success or failure of an appointment.

The Practice has a declared policy of employing only professionally qualified engineers to be responsible for both the technical aspects and the day to day running of projects.

Support of institutions
We actively support the work of the Professional Engineering Institutions, particularly, the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers, the Institute of Engineers And Technology, Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists and, the Association of Consulting Engineers.
